Middle East Arts International presents a workshop with the internationally acclaimed folkloric dancer Leila Haddad, born in Tunisia. At the age of eighteen, Haddad moved to France. Soon she moved to London to pursue a PhD in English, however, it was theatre and dance that truly captivated her. Rather than continue on the PhD track, she followed her passion for Oriental dance. Out of rebellion, and then for the challenge, Haddad devoted herself to the dance. This dance, inhabiting her like a secret and wonderful flower is but a song of a subtle beauty lying in the principle of unusual things and melting into the body.
